What does the system remove from water?
The H Series filters out chlorine, sediment, cysts, asbestos, viruses, and bad odors and tastes. And as long as you keep your unit’s filter up-to-date, it prevents these impurities from entering your drinking water at a future date.
How do I know it’s really improving my water?
Our system is certified by NSF - a governing body that ensures safety and reliability for public health - to remove contaminants. The filter has been independently tested and certified against NSF/ANSI Standard 42 & 53.
How much space do I need under my sink for the H Series?
You'll need 26" of vertical space, total. Make sure that includes at least 2.5 inches (6.5 cm) under the cartridge so it can be easily removed or replaced. The width will depend on which unit you have. Prior to installation, we’ll make sure there’s enough clearance to open and close the valve, turn and remove the cartridge, and to keep tubing from bending or ‘crimping’.
Will I need to look at a big, intrusive unit every day?
Not at all. The system is mounted cleanly under your sink, so all you see is a sleek, modern tap of your choice.
How much do these things weigh?
Single cartridge systems weigh about 7 lbs when filled with water. We always use proper brackets and hardware when mounting the H Series.
Will you need to install a new tap?
We’ll establish a slim, modern faucet in your counter (generally on the right side, if you’re right-handed). It looks sleek next to your main tap, and the hole through the counter is only 3/8 inch to ½ inch in diameter. This is the T9000:
Are there other faucet designs?
Yes. While the T9000 faucet is included in the price of the H Series, you can ask your WA-2! sales rep about product availability and cost of other options.
I rent my home. Is the H Series a permanent fixture?
Because we install a separate faucet through the counter, you may want to have a word with your landlord or property manager when considering the H Series. However, no fixture is permanent. Should you decide to remove the system when you move out, we can provide an inconspicuous metal cap to cover the hole.
Would the drilling damage our countertop?
Our skilled technicians use wood drill bits for laminate, metal drill bits for steel, and diamond drill bits for extreme precision in stone countertops.
Why does it cost a bit extra for stone drilling?
Diamond drill bits are more costly than regular drill bits. We take the time to carefully measure and drill so we always have a clean cut through your countertop.
How long does the installation take?
It won’t take longer than 1.5 hours.

Can you connect the H Series to a fridge?
Yes! We’ll do our best to accommodate this kind of request.
Do I have to install the unit myself?
Don’t lift a finger. Our water filtration specialists are trained and experienced with installing the H Series unit in a variety of configurations.
Have you installed many of these units before?
Yes--our technicians are very experienced. Our most junior technician has four years of experience with WA-2! Water.
Do you, a WA-2! Water employee, have an H Series at home?
Every team member gets a free H Series for our homes once we’ve worked for WA-2! Water for at least three months. It’s a nice perk, and we get to know these units very well.
Can I buy a second filter to save for next year?
Definitely. As long as the extra filter doesn’t touch water, it’s ‘shelf stable’. You can pay your technician by credit card, cash or cheque.
How do I contact you if there’s a problem?

How many times do I need to change the filter?
You should change the filter once a year. Order a new one from us and install it yourself (it’s as easy as changing a lightbulb, but we’ll give you illustrated instructions just in case), or hire us to replace it for you.
Will the water be cold enough?
For the best results, turn on your main faucet until it runs cold (to avoid reducing cartridge life on your H Series). But if you prefer instantly chilled water, consider installing a chiller with your system (just ask).
Can I get hot water from the H Series?
We can’t tap into the building’s hot water line, but we may be able to connect the H Series to your Insta Hot machine.
Why is my water not coming out as clear as I expected?
This isn’t common, but if your water looks cloudy after installing the H Series, let your cup sit for a couple of minutes. It might be water bubbles, which form due to pressure changes as the water makes its way through the system. It isn’t harmful, but make sure you open the filter’s water valve completely so the flow isn’t restricted.
